Does the underfloor radiant system also exist with forced hot air instead of water?

Due to its high degree of comfort and high energy efficiency, the underfloor system was already well known in antiquity; there are remains of Roman villas that testify to the presence of this system in the most prestigious residences. In that case, the system consisted of tunnels into which hot air from a furnace flowed; the tunnels were laid out under the flooring.

Modern systems no longer use air, but much more energy-efficient heat carriers such as water or electricity. Water systems have the advantage of greater energy efficiency, easy balancing and the ability to work very effectively even in cooling mode.
