With dry systems, since they are in direct contact with the floor, do you need to pay special attention to loads?

In the case of residential buildings, the loads allowed by the floor slab are always compatible with the loads that can be supported by the Kilma Futura dry system.

The flooring must comply with the characteristics specified in the system manual, in order to properly distribute the load on the underlying panel.

For different applications, the situation must be evaluated case by case.

In general, for a dry system—as well as for a traditional system or even in the absence of a radiant system—in the case of accidental “exceptional” loads, subject to the static checks of the floor slab, it is common sense to provide a possible surface layer to protect the flooring from possible fractures, also with the aim of further distributing the load.

In the case of a “fixed” exceptional load at a known point, during the design and installation phase it is possible to provide a sort of “support island” where the system is not installed.
