How does a magnetic sludge filter work?
The magnetic sludge filter is installed on the return line of the heating and cooling system to protect the most valuable components of the system, such as heat generators and electronic circulators.
Its mechanical function is to intercept impurities suspended in the water of the thermal system; the first action is pure mechanical filtration carried out by a mesh filter that retains larger particles, while the second action targets ferrous metallic particles smaller than the mesh size, which are retained by the magnet.
