TL1 is the perfect balance of style and functionality, an innovative thermostatic head for radiators and towel warmers designed by Piero Lissoni.
Piero Lissoni is an architect, designer, and art director, recognized as one of the masters of contemporary design. For over thirty years, he has developed international projects in architecture, interiors, product design, and graphic design. Lissoni has also received numerous awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the ADI Compasso d’Oro.
TL1 is characterized by an ergonomic, refined, and gentle shape. It combines aesthetics and functionality, with the valve stripped of any superstructure to highlight the purity of its cylindrical form: simplicity becomes invisible. This elegant solution integrates seamlessly into spaces, creating visual continuity with the heating element.
The thermostatic head consists primarily of a container, located beneath the knob, that holds the thermostatic liquid, which is sensitive to changes in room temperature. As the ambient temperature rises or falls, the thermostatic liquid changes its volume, causing the valve shutter to move and regulate the flow of liquid to the heating body. These adjustments allow the set temperature on the thermostat knob to be maintained over time.
The components of the thermostatic head are made from polymer materials, ensuring that the heat emitted by the heating body does not affect the mechanism of the thermostatic head.
