STEM in genere

For the 2025/2026 school year, RBM will participate for the first time in STEM in GENERE, a project promoted by the University of Brescia to bring girls and boys closer to scientific disciplines, breaking gender stereotypes and enhancing the connection between businesses, schools and local communities.

Launched in 2022, the project involves schools, universities, associations and companies and offers educational pathways, hands‑on labs, and training sessions for students, teachers, and citizens, aimed at promoting an inclusive scientific culture and overcoming gender barriers in STEM careers.

RBM participates through the Comunità Pratica business network, contributing to school-based labs and supporting educational activities in the local area. This commitment translates into concrete actions that highlight technical and scientific professions and help new generations discover work opportunities free of prejudice.

In previous editions, STEM in GENERE engaged over 8,900 people—students, teachers and citizens—through a full programme of school labs, outreach events and orientation paths. Activities ranged from robotics to coding, metallurgy to chemistry, always with an experiential and inclusive approach.

The initiative’s value was assessed using Social Return on Investment (SROI), which recorded € 83.15 of social value generated for every euro invested. This figure confirms the strength of a project capable of creating real impact for people, schools, companies and the local community.

Contributing to social change is an integral part of RBM’s ESG vision. Sustainability, education and inclusion guide our actions on the territory. We believe every company has a responsibility to generate not only economic, but also social and cultural value. Our participation in STEM in GENERE is part of this journey, alongside those working to build a more equitable, innovative future open to younger generations.
